What is a better way to celebrate a low key Hawaiian wedding? Mix Filipino tradition and Irish step-dancing, throw in a fire dancer and you are in for one epic celebration. Vicki and Sean are currently living in St. Louis, MO, but since they are from the Pittsburgh area they brought they party here.
I love details and this wedding surely did not disappoint. Have a close look at the bouquets…they are paper. PAPER! I love them so, so much.
Sean’s mom is of Filipino decent, so as part of their reception they had a full Filipino blessing ceremony. If you thought those paper flowers were amazing, take a look at the hand made origami crane backdrop for their arbor.
In true Pittsburgh fashion the forecast called for rain. It was already chilly and windy and time was getting the best of us. We didn’t have a whole lot of time for formals…but the ones we did get…KILLER.
This bride is not only gorgeous, she’s athletic. Last weekend she was inducted in to the Allegheny College Sports Hall of Fame for her efforts on the volleyball court in college.
Congrats to you Vicki and Sean, thank you for letting me be a part of your day.
